All New FAMILY DRUMS ALIVE! 
Spend some time with family fitness on Friday evenings at 5:30pm . A great fun workout for the whole family using the big stability balls and drums sticks to work out the weeks stress to fun music. You will use your entire core, legs and  arms for a great FUN exercise experience!

Youth Fitness

Teens-In-Training
Ages 8-14
Join us for an hour of fun & fitness with Megan. You will work hard and have fun getting fit with kids your own age. Keep yourself in shape during OFF season from sports or just get back in shape for the spring and summer. This is a one hour class! Be sure to bring a bottle of water and dress in your exercise clothes! Tuesdays / Thursday 6-7pm.

Free to members, $3 for non-members

Teen Orientation
The Cansler YMCA offers a 2-hour Teen Orientation for youth ages 10-14 who are ready to get started on a basic workout routine. This orientation is free to members and includes hands-on training by a certified fitness staff member. Make sure to bring a bottle of water! The orientation includes the use of the cardiovascular equipment and our Cybex strength equipment. Appointments are scheduled through the front desk. For more in-depth training, we recommend signing up for the TNT class, however completion of either the Teen Orientation or TNT is REQUIRED before youth ages 10-14 are allowed to workout on the fitness floor.

Active Older Adults

SilverSneakers®
Offered in partnership with Humana Health, SilverSneakers® classes offer strength and conditioning exercises that are easy on the joints and appropriate for those who exercise regularly as well as those new to exercise.

Makin' Waves
This water class is now offered Monday through Thursday mornings and evenings. This class is a great, invigorating, challenging workout for the very fit to those new to an exercise program. Lots of fun and fellowship while exercising your heart and working on your balance, flexibility and coordination.

Class Descriptions

Cardio Quest —A full cardio workout! Instructor’s choice of step, hi-lo, or kickboxing. (45 min.)

Beginner Yoga—Gentle Yoga poses, suitable for beginning exercisers, seniors, and cardiac rehab. (1 hour).

Body Balance—Work on keeping and refining your body balance. Designed for all ages (30 min.)

Kickboxing —Kickboxing class focusing on form, technique, and cardio conditioning with a section of abdominal exercises. (1 hour)

Hi/Lo Party—Low-impact class featuring cardio and strength training. Perfect for beginning exercisers and seniors. (45 min.)

Step & Glide—Utilizing the step and  NEW Glides to work your heart and tone your legs. (45 min.)

Pilates—This class uses a mat to stretch and tone muscles and enhances posture, muscle balance, muscle tone, flexibility, and mind-body control. (45 min.)

Belly Busters—tone and tighten your entire core with this invigorating stomach workout. (15 min.)

SilverSneakers®—Older adult exercise program. Exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activities for daily living skills. Hand weights, tubing, balls, and chairs are used. (45 minutes)

Cardio Circuit—This class combines the benefits of step and resistance training (45 min.)

Total Body—Designed to help strengthen and tone all muscle groups. Bands, hand weights, steps, etc will be used. Great for beginners to advanced exercisers. (45 min.)

Makin Waves—Water class great for all levels and includes strength and cardiovascular training. (1 hour)

Yoga—Slow, controlled movements and deep stretches of Yoga postures are used to release tension, develop flexibility, and build strength. (1 hour)

Butts & Gutts – this intense lower body workout will challenge your heart and leave you sweating and feeling great.

Please note: Classes are subject to change. If you have a favorite class, please support it by coming to class. Poorly attended classes may be cancelled.
