Youth Express Circuit
The West Side YMCA offers a special Youth Express Circuit room that allows youth (ages 7-12) to come and participate in a 30-45 minute workout on equipment designed specifically for young people!

Youth Express Circuit Hours:
Monday-Thursday 5pm - 8pm
Saturday 9am-12pm


Active Older Adutls

The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program
Offered in partnership with Humana Health. The classes offer strength and conditioning exercises easy on joints and appropriate for those who exercise regularly as well as those new to exercise or who may not have exercised in years.


Personal Training
The West Side YMCA offers personal training services to individuals interested in one-on-one workout sessions. All of our trainers are certified and experienced to help you reach your fitness goals. The cost for personal training is $400 for 12 sessions or $200 for 6 sessions. If you are interested in personal training contact Kristal Cohen for more information.

Class Descriptions

Aqua Aerobics             Burn calories and tone your muscles in our refreshing pool.
                                    Easy on your joints but also a cardio workout.

BoxStep                       A combination of kick boxing and step.  The class will be divided between                                     the two.  A great adventure.  Great for ALL levels.

Butts n Guts                A great combination of glute work and ab work to strengthen and tone                                     your favorite spots.

Core Yoga                  Emphasis on the core while providing a total body workout utilizing a                                    fusion of yoga, pilates and light weights both standing and on the mat.

Core Conditioning      Developing functional strength using pilates and a variety of outside                                    resistance to gain strength and overall wellness.

Express Circuit           This class meets in the youth express room for 30 minutes.  You will get                                     a great total body workout.  This is a great way to cross-train for any

Kickboxing                   An hour class that combines cardio training with the fundamentals of                                     kickboxing.  A great, fun workout.

Kick Butt Cardio           30 minutes of various cardio formats using all cardio toys
                                    followed by 30 minutes of pump for the muscles!

Kinetic Strength          Strengthen and gain flexibility for body and mind with this unique yoga                                     and pilates matwork fusion, guaranteed to release tension while                                     retraining the body for most efficient movement.  Participants should be                                     comfortable transitioning between seated and standing.

Pilates                         Core training appropriate for all fitness levels. This is a mat
                                    class that strengthens the powerhouse and improves
                                    flexibility.  A perfect cross-training workout.

Power Yoga                A yoga class for conditioning that involves continuous movement to                                     strengthen and tone every muscle group.  A perfect class for athletes                                     looking to improve their game, run, swim, or bike.  Lots of options for all                                     levels.

SilverSneakers           This class offers cardio, strength, range of motion and
                                    flexibility exercises that are easy on your joints and
                                    appropriate for all members.

SilverSplash               This class contains light to moderate movement that may be modified by                                     the instructor or participant to effectively and successfully achieve an                                     improved state of well-being, regardless of disabilities

Spin                             An instructor leads you on a ride through flats and hills while
                                    you control the intensity.  This workout is great for all levels.

Step N Strength           Class is 45 minutes of step aerobics and 30 minutes of
                                     toning using various pieces of equipment.

Swim/Bike/Run          Class consists of 20 min. swim, 40 min bike, 30 min run. 
                                    Great for triathlon training or an overall workout!! (S/B/R)

TotalBody                     This class offers a great mix of cardio and weights.  Great for ALL fitness                                     levels.

Yoga                            Slow, controlled movements and deep stretches are used to
                                    Release tension, develop flexibility and strength. 

ZUMBA                         A fuse of Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic                                     workout system that will kick y our tail.  Step out of your box and try it!
