Youth Express Circuit Room        

The West Side YMCA is excited about the addition of a new Youth Express Circuit room This center allows youth to come and participate in a 30-45 minute workout on equipment designed specifically for young people!

Youth Express Circuit Hours:
Monday-Thursday 5pm - 8pm
Friday 5 pm - 7pm
Saturday 9am - 12pm
**Open 8am - 4pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Youth Fitness

Kid Fit
Kid Fit is a class for youth ages 7-13 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-7:00pm. This class will be held in the Express Room and will be a fun, energetic workout that is sure to get kids moving.

Teens-In-Training
This class teaches 10-14 year olds the basics of fitness, how to use the equipment and provides YMCA members with a certification to work out on the fitness floor (with adult supervision). The cost is $20 and is for members only. Advanced sign up is required. Call 690-9622 to sign up.

Teen Orientation
The West Side YMCA is now offering a 2-hour Teen Orientation for youth ages 10-14 who are ready to get started on a basic workout routine. This orientation is free to members and includes hands-on training by a certified fitness staff member. For more in-depth training, we recommend signing up for the TNT class, however completion of either the Teen Orientation or TNT is REQUIRED before youth ages 10-14 are allowed to workout on the fitness floor. (Adult supervision required.)

The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program
Offered in partnership with Humana Health. The classes offer strength and conditioning exercises easy on joints and appropriate for those who exercise regularly as well as those new to exercise or who may not have exercised in years.

The YMCA reserves the right to add, remove or change the schedule as needed.

Aqua Aerobics - Burn calories and tone your muscles in our refreshing pool. Easy on your joints but also a cardio workout.

Cycling/Spin - An instructor leads you on a ride through flats and hills while you control the intensity. This workout is great for all levels.

Simply Tone - Lower impact class that offers cardio and muscle challenge.

Cardio Chaos - Cardio class with many different types of cardio challenges to get your heart rate up and moving.

Silver Sneakers - This class offers cardio, strength, range of motion and flexibility exercises that are easy on your joints and appropriate for all members.

Salsa - Learn basic Latin inspired cardio moves that will get you shaking your bon- bon while blasting the fat away.

Fit Class - This class is step/cardio/circuit total fit for a great workout.

Muscle/Total Body - Improve muscular strength and endurance by using resistance tubes, free wts, barbells and stability ball. A total body training experience.

Step and Strength - Class is 45 minutes of step aerobics and 30 minutes of toning using various pieces of equipment.

Yoga - Slow, controlled movements and deep stretches are used to Release tension, develop flexibility and strength.

Kick Butt Cardio - 30 minutes of various cardio formats using all cardio toys followed by 30 minutes of pump for the muscles.!!

Swim/Bike/Run - Class consists of 20 min. swim, 40 min bike, 30 min run. Great for triathlon training or an overall workout!!
